YEP – Bowling Event and CPA Licensing Update

On Wednesday, January 15th, the CalCPA Inland Empire Chapter Young Emerging Professional (YEP) Committee is hosting a Bowling and CPA Licensing Update at Brunswick Deer Creek Lanes in Rancho Cucamonga. Thanks to Alum Mayra Meza for sending us the following information.
Calling all Young and Emerging Professionals. This event is geared towards those who are not CPAs but on the road to becoming one. Donald Driftmier, CPA CFO/Producer at Noble House Entertainment Pictures will give an update regarding the CPA licensing process effective January 1, 2014. The update will include changes to the CPA examination process and useful information about the 2014 licensure changes to the CPA. The event will also include 2 hours of bowling! TEDxLaSierraUniversity First Look and Volunteer Applications

We have obtained our TEDx license and are now recruiting a select group of student volunteers to join our organizing team. We are preparing to officially launch news of this upcoming event soon, but our volunteer application form is now live at http://www.tedxlasierrauniversity.com/volunteer/. Library Undergraduate Research Prize:

Students – working on a research paper this quarter? Make it an award-winning paper with help from the library and prizes of up to $500! Learn more at http://goo.gl/LUMSEh

The Library Undergraduate Research Prize is a cash award and certificate given annually during La Sierra University’s Research Week.  Students enrolled in any undergraduate course are eligible to participate, working with librarians throughout the research process to produce an award-winning paper. Submissions are judged by the LURP Committee, comprised of a student, librarians, and teaching faculty from a variety of disciplines.  The student who wins first prize will win $500; any subsequent prizes will be determined by the number and quality of the submissions and the available budget.  The winner’s name will be added to the LURP plaque in the Library.

Enactus Scholarships

Deadline for all submissions: January 15, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. CST

Each scholarship provides unique opportunities and awards; these awards are based on criteria specific to the scholarship. Please click on the links below to review the specific requirements for each scholarship. Please note that only active, official members of the La Sierra University Enactus team, also registered on Enactus.org will be able to log-in to apply for these scholarships.
